Oxford Diecast has just announced some very exciting new models for 2011.

Currently in the pipeline are two all-new 1:72 scale de Havilland 1930s' aircraft: the Tiger Moth and the Dragon Rapide. We're told these models are being produced by the same team that work on OD's 1:43 scale Oxford Automobile Company cars, so if they're to the same quality they should be something really special to look forward to.

We can also now reveal that joining the new AEC Matador and Bedford MWD in the planned 1:76 Military range Oxford Diecast announced this January will be a new bus casting: the Bedford OWB. The first release on this wartime utility bus will be liveried for the Royal Navy, shortly to be followed by an OWB in the austere plain brown finish of the Ministry of Supply.

It's too early to be able to show you pre-production shots as yet but, just as a taster, below are some photos (in the order in which they are mentioned in this story - i.e. Tiger Moth, Dragon Rapide and Bedford OWB) of the actual aircraft and bus, albeit not in the liveries planned for initial release by Oxford Diecast.
