ModelZone gift vouchers are still being honored, but only towards 50% of any purchase now made
Despite having only just opened a new central London store, ModelZone, the UK’s largest specialist model chain, and its parent company The Amerang Group, have sadly gone into administration. Deloitte LLP is now managing the affairs, business and property of these companies.
We understand that ModelZone gift vouchers are still currently still being accepted in MZ stores but can now only be used towards 50% of your purchase (that is to say, when purchasing a model costing say, £30, vouchers to the tune of £15 will be accepted, with the remainder being required to be paid by cash or credit/debit card.
The ModelZone website has been suspended, with the following message now posted:
"On 26 June 2013, Richard Michael Hawes, Nicholas Guy Edwards and Robert James Harding of Deloitte LLP were appointed Joint Administrators of Modelzone Holdings Limited, The Amerang Group Limited, Modelzone Limited and Amerang Limited (together the "Companies"). The affairs, business and property of the Companies are being managed by the Joint Administrators. The Joint Administrators act as agents of the Companies only and contract without personal liability. The Joint Administrators are authorised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). All licensed Insolvency Practitioners of Deloitte LLP are licensed in the UK"
