Corgi has advised it will be releasing two new 1:43 scale Subaru Impreza Turbo models in its Vanguards range.

A rally version will represent the car driven by 2008 Time Attack Championship winner Olly Clark. Better known to motorsport fans as 'The Gobstopper', the modified car is hailed as one of the most extreme and exciting to be built in the UK> And the price of the model, at £20.99, won't be too hard to swallow.

There'll also be a 1990s' Humberside Police version. Back in its heyday the car could outrun anything on the road, making it a natural choice for law enforcement. Corgi's model will not only celebrate how the Subaru Impreza Turbo reinvented the performance car rulebook but also promises to pay meticulous attention to the Humberside Police livery and markings. It will be priced at £18.99.

Martyn Weaver, Corgi's Marketing Manager, comments: "The Subaru Impreza Turbo has always been an exciting car, and now we are giving everyone a chance to own their own version. Whether it's the championships that fuelled your interest or the history of the car itself, this is a model everyone loves and we're excited to bring it to Impreza fans."

The models illustrated here are pre-production samples, but we will, of course, be reviewing the finished product as it's ready to go on sale in a future issue of Model Collector.
